A senior electrical engineer, Norman Patena has eighteen years of electrical engineering experience in base building design and tenant improvement. His expertise is in the field of electrical power, lighting, fire life safety, nurse call & paging system, telephone and data communications, and other power limited electrical systems.  Norman’s projects include entertainment venues, every level of education, hospitals, crimes labs, data centers, historic buildings, military test facilities new commercial high rise buildings, hospitals, commercial malls, high and low rise residential buildings. His normal engineering work includes service calculations, electrical riser development, equipment selection and coordination, electrical service coordination with utilities, photometric calculations, engineering design for information technology, communication, audiovisual and life safety systems and theatrical lighting controls.

Norman earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at Mapua Institute of Technology in Manila, Phillipines, and is a licensed Electrical Engineer in California (#E15990).  His affiliations include the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES), Building Industry Consulting Service International (BISCI) and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
